| The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom |
[Jul. 22nd, 2008|04:50 pm] |
Since Braid was shown, it seems like there's been a small explosion of games exploring the idea of time and parallelism. In going through my stuff from GDC this year I found a flyer I saved for a game I particularly liked called The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom. It's not out yet it seems, but here's a trailer:

| Game Developer Magazine |
[Jul. 22nd, 2008|04:21 pm] |
I've got a habit of keeping magazines around since my days as a Nintendo Power subscriber. More recently I've changed it to saving them for several years and then picking out a couple that have some kind of sentimental/historical value, then getting rid of the rest.
I've got Game Developer magazines back to 2005. Anybody interested in these or should I throw them awayput them on Craigslist? |

| High Fidelity |

I always loved High Fidelity for its subtle stylishness, its hardcore pretentious (musical) geekiness, and having one of my favorite Jack Black performances. I decided to watch it again after realizing the parallels to recent stuff in my life. There's a lot to this movie I can relate to, some of the emotions now much more than before, but other than the introspection of John Cusack's character, I don't really want to relate to him. Besides the obvious downer attitude, he's not very smart. Especially about the womens. |
